Mild Steel Barrels

Our mild steel barrels use Q195 or SPCC low-carbon cold-rolled steel as the base material. These steels have a carbon content of no more than 0.12 percent. This makes them low-carbon steels. Low-carbon steel has good plasticity and elongation. It forms easily during double seam processing. The crack rate is low. The steel plate bends 180 degrees during seaming without cracking. This directly affects the sealing reliability of the drum opening and bottom. The wall thickness of our mild steel barrels ranges from 0.8 to 1.2 millimeters. The outer surface has an anti-rust paint coating. These mild steel barrels contain no stainless steel. They are regular carbon steel.

You can choose between open-top and tight head structures for our mild steel barrels. The weld uses automatic seam welding. It is continuous with no missed spots. The seam is complete with no cracks. The product passes air tightness tests. It passes the 3-meter stacking test for 24 hours with no deformation. Our stamping equipment includes 3 units of 160T large presses and a J21-80 open fixed press. These machines provide enough forming pressure. They ensure accurate stamping dimensions for bottoms and lids. Accurate dimensions mean tight fits during seaming. This gives good sealing performance.
