Tight Head Steel Drum

Our tight head steel drum uses a permanent seal. The drum head and body are joined through a double seam. This is different from open-top drums. You cannot open the head after it is sealed. Our seaming machine controls the tightness and uniformity of every seam. Each tight head steel drum meets the same sealing standard. The body has ring reinforcements. These rings increase the drum's compression strength. They prevent the body from denting during transport. This tight head steel drum uses a 2-inch and 3/4-inch twin threaded plug system. The large thread is for filling and discharging. The small thread is for venting. Both plugs seal tightly when screwed in.

Our tight head steel drum has a body wall thickness of 0.9 to 1.0 millimeters. The double seam is complete with no cracks. We performed a 20kPa air tightness test. The drum held pressure for 5 minutes with no leakage. Every drum goes through our leak tester after seaming. The leak tester uses compressed air to check for any leakage. Only drums that pass this test enter the painting process. The weld is continuous with no missed spots. The seam shows no cracks. We performed a 3-meter stacking test for 24 hours. Our tight head steel drum showed no deformation. It suits multi-layer warehouse storage.
